Ongoing Research & Projects

Post-Materialist Values and Protest Participation in Bangladesh

Examining how post-materialism plays a role among Bangladeshis in driving their non-institutional political actions in contemporary times. Using the World Values Survey (Wave 7, 2017 – 2022), I will conduct quantitative analyses to explain the relationship between post-materialist values and protest participation.

Field Research – Undergraduate Course 801

As part of an undergraduate team, I investigated the geopolitical and socio-cultural complexities of the Bangladesh-India border at Tamabil-Dawki. Through interviews with BGB, BSF, indigenous Khasia communities, and local officials, we analyzed trade imbalances, smuggling networks, and cross-border indigenous livelihoods. Our fieldwork revealed how securitization impacts marginalized groups and informal economies, culminating in policy recommendations for bilateral cooperation and indigenous rights.

1. Our team near to Jaflong, Sylhet to visit Khasia communities.

Assessing Socioeconomic Vulnerability of Post-Displaced Climate Migrants: A Case of Urban Slums in Dhaka City
